Ok so i cant remember exactly but he pushed her away on purpose to protect her from something. I cant remember what (maybe it was his family?? Or health? I cant be sure) but he couldnt stay in a relationship with her because it would hurt her so he planned on letting her catch him cozing up with another woman because that was the only way she would leave him. He didnt actually like any other girl or cheat on her. He was IN LOVE with her so he did what he had to do ig. But i think the story is about them getting together in the end. Hopefully.
