The MC and four others, including his younger sister (actually his brother in their past life), transmigrated into a novel they wrote as kids. His sister and her friend were the authors—and they gave the MC a tragic ending on purpose.
Both siblings were abused growing up: he was physically hurt, she was emotionally controlled. He repeated their parents’ rules to protect her, but she saw it as abuse too. She wanted a perfect, loving family and hated the ML, who represented the MC breaking away. So in the book, she made the ML use and abandon him, leading to his suicide.
After transmigrating, she got the ideal family she always dreamed of and didn’t want her brother to remember the past or fall for the ML again—hence his memory problems. Even one of their friends doesn’t want him to remember, since he and his mom killed someone in this world. The ML only regains his memories much later.
It's a wild, emotional story about trauma, memory, and rewriting reality out of pain and finally healing.
