To be taken with a grain of salt

I just binge read this and I have a few thoughts. I couldn't get attached to the characters. Idk why. There's nothing wrong with them...both are green flags...art is nice...the nsfw parts are insane...and backstories that were given enough time....the dialogues aren't that bad

It has everything I would expect...maybe it's the saturation of trauma being used as a plot device that has made me immune or maybe because i was trying to read in public on a fucking busso my attention span couldn't handle...but yk I'm not explicitly rooting for these bbgs...like meh okay well

Maybe I'm in a slump sort of and just trying to yap idfk but does anyone else feel like this?

(But I recently read payback on the bus too AND GODDAMN WAS IT BANGER)
