u should check out Day X on Webtoon! The MC’s love interest is a guy — canon confirmed by the author. And if you’re into novels, I really recommend reading danmei. A lot of them have strong action plots without leaving out the BL vibes.

op, have you ever heard of no.6? originally a novel, but there is a manga and anime, and it’s great (dystopian sci-fi). yuri on ice and given are other animanga bls where romance is not at the forefront.
i can rec ‘shutline’ and ‘Murderer Llewellyn's enchanting dinner invitation’ for manhwas. both are still very much focused on the couple but great balance between narrative and relationship development, and really stand out to me, amongst other well known bl manhwas.
you can try danmeis (chinese bl) as these are usually more fleshed out and very narrative heavy (i’ve only read modao zushi but it’s the norm from what i observed in that circle).
