Huh? I am not sure what you are getting at.. Perhaps, let me clarify.
Gravity wise, child rapist is definitely worse than adult rapist. Yes, at the same time, both are crimes. That's why I said pedo is worse. That old guy is imagining all sorts of things with the middle school girl. Also, one commenter said "being raped by the old guy is the ONLY THING bad in the story". I disagreed, because being a pedo is also a bad thing, worse even. Now, we got TWO BAD THINGS in the story.
Hope that clarifies.

I'll still have to disagree on the idea that the rape part has moral superiority to the pedophilia part
Because as a reader I dont expect good morality from people who aren't the main character- or at least it's easier to categorize them as villains once they betray whatever expectations I had, and that's that, on with the story
If my main character casually orchestrated a rape scene, and we surf over it like nothing weird happened, I believe it's normally more icky
Cause there was an expectation there, and it wasn't even addressed, named, nothing
It all seems like the story wasn't properly woven in that part
Like the author probably doesn't believe a man can be raped, and that's really the topic I want to address

I would say both are crimes, and hence both are definitely immoral. No moral superiority here, just my take that child rapist are worse than adult rapist, or in another words. I only wanted to point out that adult rape shouldn't be the only thing that gives reader the 'ick' regarding that old guy. The fact where that guy is a pedophile should also gives reader the ick, even worse ick, or pardon my language, ick-ier.

I understand your pov
You're very much weighing the two as acts, but im weighing the two like, how the author presented it
I guess, if we think of real life, it would the equivalent to hearing about a pedophile from the news vs hearing your mom is a rapist
The act of pedophilia is worst, but I think the factor of who it came from plays a role too
Honestly, the king's brother was raped
