He knows at this point that Sungho is much stronger than him, and if he fights back he'll get raped anyway, as well as beaten or restrained more. If a metal bar to the back of the head didn't work, what's he supposed to do? Even if Sungho doesn't release him, he's still in a better position to possibly get off the chain and escape if he's not hurt and has more freedom. It's actually the smart thing to do, but I worry about the consequences to his mental health.
