Contrary to what ppl are saying, I like the story. Especially when I’m currently reading the novel.
NOTICE:
Let’s get this straight for anyone reading, the MC and ML are BOTH red flags. This is for sure a red flag couple story. Don’t expect anything different. You should’ve known that by how he explained it in the very first chapters. Though the MC is trying to be nicer, he obviously won’t change his entire personality. He doesn’t take bullshit and when ppl come at him, he will not treat them with kindness like a changed leaf. He uses people for his own benefit. He is aware of how obsessive and ML is and lets it be, as he still needs him and has grown attached to him. No one should be expecting MC to be a kind hero and change for the better good. This isn’t a typical “villainess turns to a saint” story.
More spoilers: - - - - - They do be a perfect match lmao. MC uses people for his benefit and only helped one girl bury her friend because he knew the girl would awaken and be useful. He truly didn’t give af about the dead friend. One scene a student is dying and asks for help to save the group, and MC’s like “okay we’ll save them.” Then proceeds to kick the dying classmate and says, “I remember you pointed an axe at me. If (blank) is unharmed I’ll bring her back with me, try not to die before then. Or better yet, just die.” Dying classmate is mad and grabs MC, and ML backs MC up by stomping on the dude. He says, “what the hell are you grabbing him for?” LMFAO they match the energy.
At one point MC realizes that ML is able to manipulate people to basically isolate MC and get him all to himself- but even so MC brushes it off and is like “oh well. Still need him, and I’m getting attached to him too. I’m a sucker for pretty faces.” Although I do theorize that ML can’t completely brainwash people, simply because there’s like 3 other characters who act pretty much the same and treated MC normally. Which makes me wonder why they didn’t get manipulated? Makes me think that the person must have doubts in MC, in the first place to even be manipulated. Which makes a ton of sense knowing which characters still respect MC.
