#truthnuke I don't think that the mc being objectively a bad and unlikeable person is enough reason to hate the manhwa, I agree it was lacking in certain aspects, but neither of them were made to be loved by the reader imo lolz, personally I loved it and I just wish the ending wasn't so messy and rushed ackk >< I somehow wanted them so sink deeper together before the end

i'd argue that the most innocent was the younger twin. prosecutor's childhood friend – if you can even call them friends in the first place – was a borderline stalker who was unhealthily obsessed with the prosecutor. yes, he was a victim of childhood trauma, but it's less of an excuse for how he behaved and more of just a reason why he was like that
i don't think there is a truly unproblematic person in the main cast aside from the prosecutor's other colleagues, and that's precisely what's so human about this work i think. there's a lot of nuance and the depiction of generational trauma twisting people and their lives is such a highlight for this series i think

yea definitely. i think not everyone appreciates a story of unlikable characters and a tragedy, but that's not a valid reason to say that the story sucks. i don't want to sit here being like a nerd emoji pointing upwards but it feels like the nuance and meaning of the story was just lost on some people. it wasn't a perfect story, things rarely are and even the author recognized that their story had its own shortcomings. i think it's important to keep in mind, as a reader, that authors often improve and gain new perspectives while producing their story. it's all gained experience and after finishing one story, they can move on to make an even better one after all the lessons they learned
this is not to say that we should never critique people just because they lack experience or something else went wrong, but there's definitely a difference between actual valid critique and just saying that something "sucks because the characters weren't nice"

Prosecutor's friend isn't as bad as the prosecutor made him out to be. The prosecutor made him into a bad guy, saying that "I never asked you to stand up for me", etc. And the police friend said "you KNEW THIS WHOLE time how I felt about you, but you acted this way twds me anyways"?!? And as far as stalking, he was only doing his usual stake outs. His interest in the prosecutor made it more personal but the prosecutor was acting shady ASF. Even if they weren't friends his actions was still questionable. The only reason he was more suspicious is bcz he knows the prosecutor better bcz they've been friends for so long. IF the police man hadn't gone after him, the prosecutor would have been dead or much more severely injured from being stabbed. Who knows. Maybe that was a fitting end for him. There's a line between concern as a friend, love interest, and duty as police investigator. He embodies three roles. You can't label him as a stalker bcz part of it is his duty to be on the stake out and to investigate a crime (or crimes, in this case) so that is just part of his job. He wasn't literally shadowing the prosecutor per se. He's not as sick as anyone else in the story. More than not he's doing his job. Personal investments aside.

Yup yup yup. It befuddles the mind how they don't appreciate dark characters for what they are. They kept saying there's no chemistry between the "love interests" and that there are no likeable characters in this story. And I'm like, were they SUPPOSED to be likeable?!? The story telling has shortcomings. But it depicted nuances and just the art is just so good. The expressions and gestures. Ppl kept saying that the prosecutor likes that dick so much he got amnesia (I think they meant he went into denial or overlooked things). Cuz amnesia is loss of memory, not that he doesn't have any recollection. Idk why ppl who critique it can't even use the proper descriptions. Anyways, I'm sure it's not the sex. He can have sex with anyone and we don't even know if the sex was that good or not. It's just an assumption they make, which is super weird. Ppl are attracted to e/o on so many different levels. Just bcz they have sex (and not even that much) there are much more at play here than "just sex". I don't understand how with all this psychological play and overtones, not even slightly understated Undertones, It's PLASTERED all over the place, IN YO' FACE, and yet they kept interpreting this as sex loving. Lmfao.

To me, they work together, and to me they have chemistry. For whatever reason they don't feel the story but I'm not even sure what they were expecting out of this relationship. Like, it's a different kind of bond. Their relationship doesn't have to mirror other stories for it to feel "lovey dovey". It feels like a noir. And the artist chose the perfect pallete for that too. It feels like a film noir.
