Wdym? Robel is a girl from the start
i think op meant if robel was a man, the story wouldn’t have changed at all. like her gender didn’t affect the story. usually in genderbend stories, they tackle with feminism and gender norms i.e. fl usually dresses up as a man so she can get the same opportunities whereas here, robelia dressing up as a man didn’t really matter
Up until the time skip, this story was so well fleshed out. I’m sad they decided to make Robel a girl, especially because it really wouldn’t have affected the story at all, and their dynamic wouldn’t have changed so much. I feel like as soon as the prince found out she was a girl, he just went full trad husband on her, and she somehow also became so trad wifey. So disappointed.
