tbh, uh, they're dragon, animals, wild beasts, they don't have the same morals as humans, so it might be normal for them, but our MC here obviously don't like doing it cause he have a tigeress already

I don’t think it is normal for dragons. Seeing as it was only done because the dragons are extinct. So during the time dragons were around a lot, they had no reason to do that. And he was not raised to think with that mindset that it’s normal.
