What the hell?

I've seen a lot of comments claiming that ppl are exaggerating and that jaekyung isn't that bad of a character... are you all serious? You must have been consuming a lot of toxic manhwa to the point that the bar is now even below hell. He has reached end point what else do you want him to do to be a bad character? Comparing him to other red/black flags doesnt make him any better or that now he has finally started to change, he will always remain a grapist.

Eh, he's really not that bad. Just read a manwha where one of the love interest hired hitman on the man he loves. Beating to him to an inch of his life then stopped as he near death. But yeah. Jae is worse. Aft... Doppye

Mahn I already said comparing him to other black/red characters doesn't make him any better. If you're being compared to evil, then you're evil. God forbid imagine that happened to your Lil bro, jk is not so good now is he?

    thats coercion wannabehimbo

Dude, anyone could've offered that type of money. It's coercion when empty promises are made. Jae said "I'll pay extra for sex". There was no coercion. He didn't say he'll pay his debt, he didn't say he'll give him a place to live and stability, he didn't say any of that.

Look up the definition. Because you are not using the word appropriately. You simply echoing others who are also wrong.

I get that. Two wrong doesn't make a right. It just becomes old news hearing how Jae is just the worst person in all of media when he's really not. No one is actually excusing his behavior but we are reminding people of what the definition of true monster is by giving examples.

"coercion: the act of pressuring, manipulating, threatening, or forcing someone into unwanted sexual activity. Coercion can also be achieved through psychological manipulation, where someone is tricked or pressured into making a decision they wouldn't otherwise make. This can include emotional blackmail, gaslighting, or exploiting vulnerabilities" jaekyung still did that btw! he also literally said "so i guess you dont need that money then?"

That is not the definition. At all. Rape and Coercion are 2 separate definition.

Coercion: "The practice of persuading someone to do something by using force or threats."

Rape/Sexual Assult: "Penetration, no matter how slight, of the vagina or anus with any body part or object, or oral penetration by a sex organ of another person, without the consent of the victim."

It shows how a word can lose meaning when use in the wrong context to prove a point. So many words used incorrectly, and for what? You can COERCE someone into having sex, however, if they were being charged, it would not be seen as rape. It would just be Sex by Coercion.

Danny was in fact going to do it. He was just scared since it's his first time. Which is fair. Had Dan told the truth, it would've been a (slightly) different story, but we're here. Using Jaekyung's line isn't the best example since he isn't aware of Dan's situation. After all, the PT position is paying him well (just not enough to take care of the sharks) He's asking a genuine question ("So you don't want the money?"). He wasn't trying to manipulate or anything. He's used to seeing the same pattern where his ex wants money and will definitely do anything for it.

Where did you get that definition? I've never seen it.

Coercion: The practice of persuading someone to do something by using force or threats.

I digress. Jaekyung's question isn't with malice or strong intent. It is what he's experienced. Everyone flocks to him because he has money. His ex is a decent example; How he was grabbing the money from the floor and running out. Dan literally came back due to circumstances. Had he not been blacklisted, I'm very sure the story would have a different turn.

while rape and coercion are different definitions they CAN be intertwined; if someone is pressured or tricked/manipulater into sex, that is coercion, if someone is not giving genuine consent [without pressure, manipulation, etc] thats rape.
