I think the plot in both were quite good, but the thing about both of these stories that always throws it off is the way the bottom constantly gets raped
Well I don't really know about Jinx because I've only read it occasionally. I just know that the mc was basically forced to accept a "sex deal" because he absolutely needed the money for his sick grandma, but in BJ Alex they both agreed to be f*ck buddies... True, Jiwon assaulted DG twice if I remember correctly (chapter 21 with the sex toys and 25), but I wouldn't say he got constantly r@ped. BJ Alex is generally loved by the public, it has a very high rating. It's Jinx that gets a lot of hate simply because JK's character is just terrible, unbearable and poorly written... He doesn't have a single quality, he literally does nothing but mistreat Dan all the time, how are people supposed to enjoy a "romance" like that? I know Jiwon was kind of a jerk too at first, but he was nowhere near as mean as JK...
True, I also can admit I love bj Alex, This is actually my second time reading. I did exaggerate it a bit, sorry even though jiwon and JK are both jerks and have assaulted their partner more than once, the difference between them is that jiwons incident looked like a misunderstanding and although I don’t recall an apology it seems he’s learned and grew from his mistakes. His redemption made sense. JK is literally just abusing Dan, he is the one that’s constantly abusing his partner to the point where redemption shouldn’t even be considered. So, yeah, my apologies.
Don't worry, you don't have to apologize! I agree with everything, BJ Alex was an enjoyable read overall! I think Jinx could've been more appreciated if the author had intended it to be a dark story, like a psychological thriller or something, but you (author) really can't pass off a story like that as romance... Like you said, it's basically a story of abuse, and not just sexual but especially psychological, verbal, etc.
