I dont think you understand what i meant. The scan group is translating chaps that are already translated in english but they probably dont know its been translated officially already. They or someone else could very well buy the english "locked" chaps and upload them rather than waste time translating. Mosh scans and basically all scan groups usually drop a story if its been picked up in english
well, since even it's already translated yet here not updated, means there's no one who buy it and upload it here. The scanlation team can continue their own version of translation. Although most of the scanlation stop if the official translation released, there still possibility they continue their work because the chapter here aren't yet be updated. It doesn't need to be the 1st uploader who complete the chapter. Other translator group or even a solo translator can complete the remaining chapter. It wasn't a waste of time as the chapter here isn't complete and the accessible further updated chapter is limited.
already licensed as midsummer eureka 6th chap comes out august 4th so i dont think the scan group should waste their time with updates if its out there already
