Thank u for saving my time. I'm only few chapters in and I was seriously questioning the MC. She's so quick to let go. I don't know the way she was treating those 3 started to feel a bit unfair. But I was hoping for the plot to develop in a positive direction. I guess it isn't gonna happen..... thx
I was thinking the same. They justified it by saying since the old comrades were originally jealous of her and looked down on her, that is the reason the mind control worked on them. I mean, you can think someone is weaker than you and still like them. Like is that not human?
omg exactly. like i hate it when in these stories people say the "brainwashing" took root bc these ex-friends always held jealousy or something towards the MC, but tbh that's just being human. in real life, lots of people hold complicated feelings towards their loved ones, from a petty to severe reasons, but that doesn't mean they don't like each other. to say your friends must be held accountable for their actions underneath brainwashing is valid, but to act as if their original personalities weren't unconsensually overwritten to do something so horrible (and now they have to deal with the aftermath of it all) is so incompassionate.

hmmm now that you put it this way, i do feel bad about the way the og male leads are written... i don't know how bad the brainwashing is, but it's to the point where their personalities became rotten and unlikeable like wasn't there a scene where Ian was thinking of making sellonia his main wife and grace his consort? (or vice versa) like is that also part of the brainwashing or was he originally a horrible person? lol but either way you make a good point. i don't think sellonia gave up on them easily though because she still investigated why they were suddenly treating her horribly and she has every right to feel hurt even if they were brainwashed
The og male lead is being consumed by dark magic by how often grace has been poisoning/brainwashing him. I think that’s why his personality is turning for the worse. She does have the right feel hurt, but it’s just the way she treats them knowing that their malicious behavior wasn’t out of their own will. She blames them for their behavior which isn’t rlly their fault? If anything they’re the victims here

MC has no moral justifications for hating the original comrades or even Grace, tbh she was enjoying the isekai reverse harem life herself before Grace stole them. Also I hate how she keeps slapping the comrades and says she's just going to use them after reversing their brainwashing, because her original feelings are dead. Like I get a girl can be upset but have some fucking compassion? You were in a coma while the comrades were literally getting mindfucked and their personalities overwritten, I don't think you have the grounds to be like 'woe is me, I'm the only one who suffered.' It's to the point I don't even believe she was ever sincerely their friend to begin with. You're telling me your friends got brainwashed and you feel nothing for their plight?
I'm just really annoyed. What's the point of a regret novel when most of the ppl who wronged the MC literally DIDN'T HAVE ANY CHOICE. I don't even want their apology, I want them to get their life back. As for MC, not every female lead has to be compassion and virtue, I get it, but it's super hypocritical how she's cold to her past friends but so nice and quick to catch feelings for the DEMON LORD who KILLED PEOPLE. ML is literally more evil than the comrades.
The people who deserved redemption didn't get redemption, and the people who got redeemed (MC and ML) are just... unlikable.
Also, like other ppl are saying, boring gross child crush tropes and stuff. Tbh I regret reading so many chapters, I kept for waiting for it to get good but instead I just got slowly more and more disappointed.
I wish the dragon guy was ML, I liked him the best.
