Same here, we were definitely a little bit more diverse but when i was in school it was most definitely very white and racist. We nearly had a teacher get fired over a blm sticker meanwhile these teachers were openly bigoted during class and no one said shit
Yesss in 6th grade i had one black kid (the only one in the GRADE) in my class and my teacher said he should be lynched or something… out of the entire school, theres 1 asian kid (me), 5 black kids (theyre all bullied or they make fun of themselves for approval), and maybe like 3 mexican kids… the rest r white. I have two teachers I know that DONT stand for racism and an old cranky white lady that said i MIGHT have a future even though im asian so….
That is actually insane for us it was a teacher who would loudly read out the n word everytime she read to kill a mockingbird another one who said cops arent racist because he has a friend whos a black cop. And then my BIOLOGY TEACHER who said she doesnt understand non-binary people and that she thinks its stupid btw what state are you from? Only if ur comfortable enough to answer ofc
