I was thinking that as well! All the hints from previous chapters are insinuating that as well. Like the guy from the company saying, "you smell like us". Im guessing everyone involved in the farm is partially animal

Actually what if the accident was Little A turned fluffy (dog) into a hybrid and Mr. A was upset about that. They probably monitored him in case it got on him too but I like the sheep theory more
What if Little A is a hybrid? He doesn’t remember what the “incident” was because maybe he IS the incident. He’s very attached to the farm perhaps because that’s where he originally was as an animal but then somehow became human. It could explain why he went to a therapist when nothing seemed to be wrong—to make sure he functions/adjusts well as a human
