I sympathize with the mom but like in real life, I can never forgive a mother than leaves her child behind and escapes. If being with the abuser was hell for her, a grown ass adult, how dare she abandon an innocent child in that same environment and just run away? If an adult was suffering, what made her think that her child wouldn't be in the same situation and even a worse one considering that most abusive fathers blame the kid when the mother runs away...

Her abuse is of course not her fault by any means but not taking her child and just running by herself is 100% your fault

Definitely. I agree with you. I don't get why she even left him behind in the first place. I would never leave my child behind if I were her. Children are weak and shouldn't be left under an abuser's care. Didn't she think her child could die from the same abuse she suffered? Like, he has a smaller body, she should've thought of that and yes abusers tend to blame the child... I really don't get this scenarios of mothers leaving their children behind because they're getting abused. My mother took me and my siblings with her when she run away from an abusive marriage. She worked hard to raise us alone. This mother only has 1 child and she left him behind.... I feel bad for her suffering BUT I'm bitter that she's happy, oblivious about the sufferings and death of her OWN child.

Apparently in Korean laws the custody of the child is automatically with the dad so she couldn't probs do anything about it, we only saw this from their pov but not enough about the mom and the author didn't expand on it much. That's why often in BLs you always see the child is with the dad

That does make me feel a tiny bit less angry at her if she ran away alone thinking (or knowing) that if she took the kid she might be perceived as a parent who kidnapped their kid rather than one who ran away with him....
