Some version of just censored age appropriate version of the truth? Like talk about a special embrace only adults do that makes a baby cell in their tummy that gets bigger and bigger over 9 months until doctors can safely take a healthy baby out, but not growing in the stomach where food goes, and tell them don't worry about any hug or just sleeping next to someone won't cause babies and they don't need to be concerned by that. You know something covering the main facts without uses words you'd be mortified by them yelling loudly in a grocery store, or giving too specific a tutorial with enough details for them to try to copy (that would be a big problem like the girl's explanation here!), and addressing common fears in a few sentences. And usually the talk about private body parts is a seperate talk.
Thankfully I haven't had to plan for this yet since my nieces & nephews are babies and I don't have kids yet. But the guy doing the stork story has definitely told multiple of his kids the same story and I think that will just cause issues when the kids discover reality down the line
I don't think the stork lie or the graphic explanation were either the right thing to say to a 5 year old asking about babies.
