I might be wrong on this but, hirano might be an asexual, so that would explain it?
me too hun. my best guess is that he cares very deeply for Kagi but holds no romantic feelings for him. he wants to match Kagi's feelings but is incapable of doing so. at this point i think he's just coat tailing on Kagi's feels.
maybe this'll change in the future, maybe Hirano will eventually develop an actual attraction to Kagi as more than just friends, but who knows? ╮(￣▽￣)╭
Not gonna assume Hirano is asexual but as someone who is, I do feel romantic attraction and not sexual attraction :) we do, in fact, exist and although we may not conform to the "normal" standards of what romantic feelings may involve, it doesn't mean that our love is any less than the regular person :) Personally, I don't feel very comfortable with most intimate acts such as kissing or sex but simple touches like holding hands and hugs are fine for me ^^ it does vary from person to person how they feel about this but I still love who I love nonetheless even if I dont have such desires. It's a boundary that I wont force on people who do have that desire but it's not impossible for me to find someone who's okay with said boundary of mine :)
oh yeah i completely understand this from an asexual perspective - if the author does go that route it would be great writing! it’s just it’s v rare to see sexualities be intentionally depicted in manga so, if hes not written with the intention of being asexual it would be .. strange? writing? but yeah, would be super cool if he is !
Ahh yeah I get it :) tho the author could be trying to show asexual tendencies without even knowing what it is or realising it ^^' but either way, I think it's great rep even if it's not totally canon since he does seem to lean some way into the aroacespec :>
