See I did think of the ex but I also considered the ML. Not because I think he would but more that she would like to try to get him in trouble as revenge for rejecting her.

I think it was a ploy to be the hero who swoops in and saves the girl. He wasn't prepared for a girl to do it first tho. Realistically it's always the girl's girl.
