Nyne tend to self deprecate a lot, like he is not a god, he's a human and such, like i don't think I'm all that mindset, and he overthinks a lot and Amon is like, the opposite of assurance. So whenever Nyne feels glum or sad (mostly after sex cuz it's where they interact the most, or like after some celebration, yk killing and stuff), Amon would order that bastard to light some incense, making Nyne drowsy, and when he awakes, he mostly forgot what happened (not completely, or all of it), making his memory short, blotched, missing.

That's why he thinks he's not actually a god, with his memory short, he thinks he's like 20 something yrs old.

i think (more of like i know) the part where they erased his memory is due to Amon's lack of understanding of emotions, well just whatever makes the brain tick in a nutshell. He is a god, he lived too long and all that kinda just washed away. So Amon being unable to comprehend whatever Nyne is feeling, just tend to avoid it overall and whoosh... poof

Tho it is very very very worthwhile since Amon ehem ehem, is literally Nyne's loyal dog. In the novel, that will be more evident. Whatever Nyne says/orders, Amon follows (... there are exemptions). He is just a loverboy trapped in the body of a god.

it is very worthwhile, so interesting too. I didn't actually thought i would end up reading the novel, but as i read it, i noticed how detailed and specific some things are that they just start to take form in my head. But to answer your question, uhm yes and no (haven't read the side stories yet) . In the novel, it ended with Gwen (the pink haired one) and Amon having to compromise, because their fight left Nyne depressed, so they stopped for their pookie. Maybe in the side stories they might clear it up. Between Gwen and Amon, i might have to lean on Amon, but if Iyu is included, then Iyu all the way (not necessarily romantic)

Where are the side stories? I binged read the MTL and its only up to 191 chapters

the novel ended with 188 chapters. there are 2 side stories with 15 episodes each, so it has 30 more chapters after the main story ended.
