It’s heartbreaking, because honestly, the best ending—at least in my opinion—would be for her to return to her original world and her family. I know that’s not how it ends, but still, that would’ve felt right. She could go through all the hardships here, but in the end, none of these people truly deserve her, especially when compared to the love and support she had back in Korea.
I wouldn’t want the other girl to return to this world either—I’d want her to stay in Korea too. A truly satisfying ending would be seeing the people in this world realize she left them behind, watching from a distance as she lives a happy life without them. But sadly, I already know how it ends—and aside from the most obvious issue, my second biggest frustration is that she ends up stuck in this world.
