Perhaps its not written in black and white, but its undeniable that this fictional girl is loved by those around her and Im sure she will grow up to be a confident and healthy girl, while I understand the unreasonable standards forced upon as as girls, we may carry the scars of insecurity but its our responsibility to ensure the next generation does not feel that way. Most of the Asian countries are like that. They favour boys over girls, do racism to their own kids and people, do body shaming and quite openly at that. I have seen many mahwas where they make people from undeveloped or underdeveloped country "tan or dark" and call them barbaric as well.
