Both are right even Hayden or brett , Hayden thinking brett should have told him everything as a partner but he didn't brett didn't grow up like to depend on anyone he is like a sociopath who can't feel emotions so far he can't understand and for the safety of Hayden he didn't include him I also thought at first may be Hayden is overreacting he shouldn't behave this way but later on after few days i realised he just feel brett doesn't think of him as a capable partner of equal footing , the secondary gender play big role here both are alphas brett is capable rich and smart he knows he can handle everything but he included himself in this whole mess at first for Hayden than clearing up mess or alexander he is beta brett doesn't hate anyone who hate him he just feel yah the do cuz they don't think themselves on equal level it's their issue brett knows his brother wants tu kill him yet he still care about his brother in his own way brett is not those egoistic alpha's who look down on other gender but for some reason this relationship suppose not to go in direction of love and care it was for Hayden he started it just to make Hayden keep in contact with him maybe he felt something and father Hayden taking shot for him he felt indebted to him Hayden concluded he did this all cuz of the shot I took for him brett doesn't have any emotions. Which technically right but i suppose season 3 would include lot more of brett character cuz so far we are reading everything from Hayden pov and brett pov is rarely shown. -- this is what I included after re reading it 3 times lol

I lowkey think both of them were in the wrong. Hayden had these false expectations of Brett that weren’t really grounded in reality, and when those expectations weren’t met, he got emotional and said a bit too much without fully thinking things through — which is so Hayden. I mean, he knew, and was even told by Brett, not to expect too much too soon. But still, his feelings and infatuation kind of took over, and he let himself hope for something more than what Brett was ready to give.

On the other hand, Brett was also clearly in the wrong. He wants to keep Hayden on his terms, and the moment things start to go south, he immediately jumps to “this isn’t going to work” instead of actually trying to talk things through or fix it. Like Hayden said, Brett doesn’t even give them a proper chance. He’s already bracing for failure, anticipating the worst before it even happens — and that’s so Brett.

Honestly, their last conversation really showcases their personalities so clearly. Hayden leads with emotion and hope, while Brett retreats into logic and control.

Respect your opinion, but Hayden bonded with brett he now think more in side of emotions than logic since brett isn't emotionally attached type of person he is still free to think with reasons than getting controlled on emotions, only reason brett wanted to continue Hayden and his relationship cuz he is convenient partner he won't get any person like him a capable with dominant strong pheromones he persona to get overpowered by Hayden was reason but either way brett ig back of his brain felt that the rape and assault he gone through is striking him but he didn't let those things to shatter him instead stand tall as an alpha infront of nathan dad or anyone who wanna downgrade him , Hayden thinks brett is only using him as side piece which is entirely wrong in his perspective yes Hayden bond making him lose lot more control over himself, but yah they both can be wrong at their own level but I m more on side of brett cuz if he think from emotions he wouldn't have survived so far in world full of animals.

No, I completely understand what you mean, and I agree with you — Brett is the way he is because he had to survive. I’m not blaming him for that. But in order for him to truly change and move forward, both he and Hayden will have to face themselves first… and then each other. That’s the only way they’ll be able to fully grasp and accept what they’re going through.

The real issue — and this is why I think both of them are in the wrong — is that they believe they know each other so well, like they’ve already figured each other out. But as readers, we can clearly see that they don’t actually see eye to eye yet. That’s exactly why their “communication” keeps breaking down. It’s not really communication if both parties are just reacting based on assumptions.

Yess agree , more likely they both are on competition of "i can see through you" yet they can't. It's hard to pursue a person with emotional disability which brett has may be he is not grown like this hope they grow not in a way of time apart but in literal communication.
