That is also true cause it meant that is he was given a second chance to love someone that he doesnt want to lose it this time around, it was a genuine reaction of a person who doesnt want to experience things for the second time.

He said he didn't feel anything toward Diana. And Hestia already feels like a replacement. That "again" in his own thoughts is him still thinking of Diana as someone he cares about.

We do like respectful guys. We don't like guys who still respect the people who disrespects their partners in every meeting. We don't like guys being respectful toward a person who's literally throwing themselves at them knowing they have a partner.

This is him thinking of Diana as someone he CARED about. Past tense. No matter how different his feelings are in the present time, it's true that he felt great affection towards Diana once and that at the time, losing her broke him. He "almost lost the most precious thing in his life AGAIN" because in the past, he did consider Diana precious, and then lost her. "Again," because now the situation was going to ""repeat itself"" (in loose terms) with Hestia. There is NOTHING in his statement that implies he cares about Diana as of now. You are filling in gaps that do not exist

But he cares about Diana, she was someone he truly loved, our man has a kind heart. And YES "AGAIN" because he lost the person he loved before when She betrayed him and after go for his best friend. There is nothing wrong in what he said, you definitely did not understood how he feels about the other characters. And yes again "AGAIN" because Hestia is the second person he ever loved that way so losing someone ever loved that way after he himself loved Diana that way too is also loosing someone i loved again
