Kuzunoha

Wait, could Kuzunoha be Seimei's mother, like in the legends about him? If so, it's kinda cute and sad at the same time how her grabbing Haruaki's face parallels Mama-aki grabbing his face in chapter 39, given how her own son has been dead for a thousand years and has finally returned to her. Agh, the mysteries are killing me!

And I have a suspicion that Tensei was related to Kuzunoha, a brother perhaps; and if Kuzunoha were really Seimei's mom, it could be the reason why he wasn't affected by Haru's power despite being a Youkai—maybe? that just my guess.

Darnnn I should have let it marinate longerrr T^T

Actually I read something like few months back about a black fox, becoming a vengeful spirit after being shot by a hunter (the hunter was like a husband I think to the noble/princess the black fox was accompanying before she died) then the black fox was built a shrine and eventually became a guardian deity. If Tensei is that black fox then maybe the reason why Haruaki's mojo doesnt work on him coz Tensei isnt a yokai. Also maybe the reason why Ebisu a God was investigating him. Not sure just a theory as well

Now you mentioned it, I did remember vaguely about that folklore and that just might be it.
