This chapter really shows how korean value men more than woman. I just hate how author push the blame to sungtaek's mother (the sister) as if she's the most at fault when in fact it's the favouritism from his granny AND his bio father. I know as an adult the sister should've know better but if i gotta raise someone else's child bcs of your sibling's irresponsibility and ntm growing up parents always favoured your sibling more than you i'd be pissed.
Making the sister as the villain is so disgusting

She's not the villain, but she is also just doing the same thing her mother did. I understand that she has a hard time loving him, but the blatant favouritism toward her biological son is so disgusting to watch. He never had a fucking chance. She unironically believed a kindergarten-aged Seungtaek was some kind of pervert, like woman what is your damage

It felt like she kept seeing Seungtaek as a mini version of her brother, which doomed them from the start. Like the trauma from how her mother treated her in favor of her brother, she dumped on Seungtaek even when she tried “fixing him” with therapy.

Yeah, it's actually because she already has a disliking to him from the start–well rather than disliking it's more like an impression or a certain thought about him that already buried in her mind despite whether it's the truth or not. So even though she starts getting comfortable and warm with him and want to fix their relationship and 'fix' him it didn't and wouldn't go well because she'll end up come back to her first impression about him, that he was an evil perverted person.
