I know there are many people asking questions left unanswered even on other forums, so here I go :
Back in high-school, baseball player Sasaki Eiji was betrayed by Arisugawa, a teammate (the pitcher) Eiji protected from being beaten up by another school's players who caught him shop-lifting. So the forced dismantlement of the team was all unjustly blamed on him. Being morever a Yakuza's son, and quickly judged, he developed a raging resentment and strong anger issues, that lead him to violent fights, then taking it out randomly on Orii, our MC, by raping him. After their re-encounter, and being now his caretaker, Orii is the helpless witness to a self-destructive and violent Sasaki, who's still haunted by the past and can't move forward, not control his rage outbursts.
The scene in the taxi, where Sasaki keeps saying "Sorry, Hiro..." (the guy working at the bar, who called Orii), he's actually simply continuing the conversation they had at the bar before he was too wasted to be coherent (so NOT a lover). And the scene with the girl : must have been a one-night-stand, maybe weeks ago, and he didn't remember her (so NO connection with the job application).
It's an open-ending, and seeing the patience and endurance of Orii, plus the fact that his access of abuse occur more rarely now (they still happen of course), there might be hope for him. At least I decide to think there is.
