Yeah, now that I think about it he literally didn't gain anything apart from losing Haechang which is a good thing but like everyone just suffered like no one basically gain anything from that bs chasing arc. If we remove the chasing arc in the story and Hyoseop will likely just talk to Andante(since Hyoseop's past action tend to tell and believe Andante first like what happened between the deal of between Haechang and Andante "cheating" on him and caught by the CCTV, he talked with Andante abt that too since they really are both confrontational person) if that twink didn't cause any drama between them, the story will be just the same maybe better.
I finished the novel and I hate that haechang with all my life. Dude's just jealous, no traumatic bg, no any justification, straught up jealous. I know the guide with purple hair is not to blame and I loved what he did, but this all started bcs of his bs. The chasing arc is long and good but it's so fkin unnecessary since the misunderstanding is caused by someone not bcs Andante did something wrong. I hated how Hyoseop believed ANYONE over Andante when he literally said he can't hate him, our bottom didn't even ask him until like a thousand page of just him misunderstanding shit. The chasing arc is caused by misunderstanding which is a stupid reason for a chasing arc. I can't believe there's a chasing arc I wouldn't like but Andante losing his mind is not really satisfying when he doesn't deserve it.
