Guys, he's not black, or brown

The discoloration of his skin is literally due to the decay caused by the red curse. The way it's portrayed as discoloration is to simplify the damage for us viewers. We see him say that he looks so bad, that maybe it was way too long since the curse started that he looks that way, and that literally made him want to kill himself. Wtf??? Guys, the author can't be THAT blatantly racist in this social climate, okay?

    Well, we wouldn’t exactly know? I think like — for us, we just see discoloration and such. Within the manga though, people might be seeing something different. I don’t know how to explain it but — eh

    I really want to give the author the benefits of the doubt but I'm also keeping in mind they're Korean. I dont want to get caught off guard lmao (not saying all Korean are bad... but their standard of beauty and the impact is.... yeah)
