I'm replying to most of the newer readers here, and since you're up for spoilers, I'm assuming you haven't read the latest chapters yet.

To summarise, he betrayed her. He married her, then exposed that her father had been embezzling funds because her father indirectly killed ML's family. And then he just left her waiting for him, before finally sending her divorce papers.

I'm so angry rn I can't write much more, but that's the most important part. FL is okay-ish though, so at least that's that.
