You CAN'T have it keep going. It should not even be a possibility. Take accountability for yourself. Are you more prone to abuse people? Take the steps necessery to not have it happen. Even if it happens just once. It's not acceptable and you can't inflict that pain on someone else.
"can't continue the cycle of abuse" and "shouldn't continue the cycle of abuse" are two different sentences
