I think the MC is scared of the ML on top of being mentally weak (but then again who here can genuinely say they can stomach watching people fight to the death? I can definitely say not me.)

Judging from the spoilers, i guess this story isnt as sweet and good like I Can See Your Stats. Author did a different approach with this one where they created an MC who’s weak and not treat ML fairly (yes Amon loves him but is just bad at expressing it). Eyra from ICSYS is more straightforward and logical meanwhile this MC is just so mentally weak and kept doubting ML which is okay but at the same time not anymore when ML never abused you and you felt running away because you don’t feel proper love from ML (again, just bad at expressing it).
For those who will defend MC, I get it and ML can be weird but isn’t this setting… also happens at some point in our history? Common sense back then wasn’t common sense and people have different culture and religion and you seriously don’t expect all countries to act the same way as yours.
Moral lesson/in conclusion: ML and MC aren’t compatible. MC is mentally weak and the better ML for him is that pink hair guy who give him reassurance. While ML’s lover has to be someone similar to Eyra and doesn’t have the habit to form fanon in their mind and expect ML to follow their fanon fantasy.
This is my first time seeing a manhwa where the author tries so hard to make two incompatible people to be together and it never ends good. Is it good or bad writing? Personally, I’ll never write something like this. But the I Can See Your Stats is better because Yanu and Eyra are compatible and can balance each other meanwhile this story have no balance between ML and MC
