
It really is an excellent story, but it does have rape. It’s just not the sort that comes with physical agony. You could liken it to being drugged and hallucinating without consent.
That being said, it’s NOT used to progress the plot (which is always frustrating, as we all know that as women we don’t need or want male induced trauma to experience personal growth). It’s also NOT used as a way for the ml to get into his pants through the common sex-rehab route. It’s INSTEAD used as a reason (not excuse) for his criticism of all people. This story is a perfect example of how to incorporate disgustingly common sexual assault without making it a “necessary relationship development” or justification/misunderstanding for forceful behavior between mc and ml.
That’s why the story is so excellent because even in fantasy fiction everyone is more real
its refreshing seeing a story like this without rape, plus the characters are interesting. (⌒▽⌒)
