    It’s widely accepted that the “forbidden fruit” in the Christian bible is interpreted as an apple. With the fact that the church scene shows the crucifix and the “our father” prayer, it’s wouldn’t be completely wrong to say he might be apart of the Christian religion. That said in this finishing scene taewon reinforces the fact that he is sangwoo’s dad and sangwoo himself is the son, yet sangwoo just says he know. He’s consciously aware that their dynamic is tabooo and forbidden but doesn’t care. The apple’s symbolize the relationship and having eaten the “forbidden fruit” despite knowing it’s wrong. HOWEVER this is just my take on the ending scene so take it with a grain of salt

    You know what, that makes a lot more sense. It also reads like an answer to an English literature exam.
