You are right, no one knows he is a guy except the old lady with him. Because he told her the cat knew and she made a remark. But i think everyone in the clinic think he is a she..
yep everyone genuinely thought that director is a she and somehow act and dress like one. probably due to his family issue since they have few panels of directors family when he still have short hair and his twin probably that he replaced her place for now. i think the father is sus and the twin ran away.

The director pulled a shirt over himself… He’s a GUY?!? I totally thought the director was a woman with that feminine appearance. But then again now I understand:
- why that cat suddenly got hostile against him before (he figured out he was a guy)
- why he was so comfortable picking out Shizuma’s boxer when they were drying at the clinic.
I skimmed through a few chapters before chapter 17 and BOTH Shizuma and Tatsumi (shizuma’s male coworker) referred the director as a woman in chapter 14.
”She has so much trouble with people…” (Shizuma) and
”A woman doing a princess carry” (Tatsumi)
It’s most likely that director have an unisex voice (fits both woman/men)?
