Yeah I don’t get it. Even the stories where the crimes against the FL are so fucking diabolical, even if the entire 2/3 of the story is spent on a revenge arc for the FL, even if the trajectory of character development for the FL is like exponentially positive, somehow SOMEHOW the trend is just to blow it all up and have the FL/ML end up together in the end COMPLETELY undermining the FL, plot, theme, and the author’s work themselves. Like………..can someone tell me please where / if any stories (with smut (sorry not sorry)) exist where the FL actually does NOT end up with the ML?
I second that, I'm also desperately searching for such a story. Haven't found it yet, though apparently there is a toxic love story somewhere out there where FL takes revenge on ML by killing herself in the end, which throws ML into great despair. But I couldn't find out what story that is.
I honestly hate it, how afraid those authors seem to be of an unhealthy couple splitting up for good and go on living their own respective lifes, maybe with someone new, someone greener than their toxic ex.
Is it an asian thing? As in taking a very traditional stance with marriage and relationships (divorce is a no-no, etc.).
I wonder why authors are so desperate to teach us that there is no way out of a toxic relationship, that there is no escape from someone who hurt you deeply. I don't understand... ??? (⊙…⊙ )

ikr it's so sad... I suppose female empowerment and independency is (sadly) still too new of a concept for these authors. Maybe it really has to do with very traditional values and growing up in a patriarchal environment.
Because whenever I stream "Moms Diary / My Little Old Boy" ( a South Korean tv entertainment program about unmarried middle aged men), and they treat the Divorcees on this show as some sort of damaged secondhand goods loser clowns, I think to myself 'I think I know why female leads always end up going back to their abusive husbands. Because these authors simply can't imagine otherwise.'
It's frustrating, but even more than that it's honestly boring by this point. Every single one of these stories follows the same pattern and has the same predictable outcome. Yawn.
If I had even a little bit of talent, I would definitley take you up on that suggestion and write my own story... but I don't have talent lmao :sadface:

I HATE HOW THIS STORY ENDS. I really liked how it is so far.. I even had hopes that the female lead will eventually find love and be happy or even just be happy and achieve her dreams BUT NO. I read some spoilers because I really wanted to feel the satisfaction of saying fuck you to that fuckass deranged guy but in the end, the story ends with the FL being a house sex slave for the guy.
i don't usually say bad things to the author but this is an absolute shitshow. as if the author was lazy and could not even deal with this shit anymore and end the story with the female lead STILL BEING UNDER THE WHIMS OF A DERANGED FUCKASS LOVELESS GUY. anyway this made me so angry. if you want to feel frustrated and angry, this is highly recommended. kudos to the author because it's been a while since a story made me feel so offended and frustrated.
