I kinda thought it was just the instinct of a mama hen. Some hens can be very protective of their eggs and get easily stressed and upset if someone tries touching them/stealing them. So maybe K blanks out and instinct takes over every time he lays eggs. After it happens he's able to think rationally, thus why he was cool frying his unfertilized eggs
maybe just that too. idk in ch 12 the panel of the uncle looks like he morphed too. like his hair has feathers
He goes broody so to say, alot of hens that have a more motherly instinct will go broody no matter if the eggs are fertilized or not, seeing how he wasn't a rooster he had to be broody... So yea just a regular hen
the way everyone was talking abt this i thought i was just gonna see big titty men but honestly pretty good plot. im down to hear some theories cs maybe the first batch of eggs laid by K were actually fertilized and thats why he felt such a strong connection to them. Also the uncle seemed guilty a little so maybe he was the dad?
