I mean I think they're interesting characters because they aren't your cookie cutter oh I went through hard times, found love, and now everything is fine and dandy characters. Like for the characters it's meaningful between them because there are feelings but with other people it's just an activity. Actually at the end they specified that the owner wasn't letting Mahiro sleep with clients anymore. They also showed hints at the owner getting upset about not being Mahiro's first. Also, Mahiro willing to sleep with the clients if ordered to do so is kind of different but I like it because it shows the uke's will power to do anything it takes to reach the top (in being a racer) instead of just depending on the seme.
