No you don't? I read legally too but they're free and usually is announced ahead of time in their twitter too.
I mean some hiatus are unexpected like the artist getting sick or them rewriting things so it's not their fault if they suddenly drop a hiatus I mean it's once a week, they have a life too with problems.

Wow…people don’t know when they’re gonna go on hiatus. They could have gotten sick for a few days, ran out of time unexpectedly, etc. how are they supposed to know? They can’t see the future?? And actually when they do know the hiatus notes are at the end of the chapter? Have you not seen that? Everyone who reads illegally and does not do even a little to support the industry they are ripping off should at least be humble enough to realise they are not owed anything? Why the arrogance? Why the entitlement? It always surprises me. Authors are not machines, let’s have a little empathy? They only create manga because of their passion. It doesn’t even pay well and the majority of readers are illegal so they are actively LOSING money when we read illegal and do nothing to support. Be grateful instead of entitled

Yall can disagree all day in the comments idrc lol. The majority of the "big" stories, authors have a trend of dropping the hiatus announcement on chapter release day. They let people wait until the DAY or possibly day before to announce. Thats planned, its not some unavoidable illness every time. Other smaller artists seem to trend announcing their hiatus WITH the drop of a chapter, but the big ones let the hype build for the next chapter and then announce last second. Hiatus are expected with manwha, noboyds arguing that. But scheduled hiatus means they KNEW they were going on hiatus. and they COULD tell readers WITH a chapter drop but they dont and that bothers ME, it doesnt have to bother YALL. ~~~

its things like this that make not care about reading illegally tbh, get mad if you want. announce the hiatus WITH the chapter, dont build people up to release date KNOWING youre going on hiatus. jinx did this same thing. like im not paying chapter by chapter for authors who do this, ill pirate it purely out of spite.
