Alcohol cannot be THAT good to be everywhere and anywhere

This drinking trope is getting tiring ngl. Are all these authors lowkey a bunch of alcoholics? They seem to like their characters being high of drunkenness. Talk about bad habits...

It's a culture thing. Getting drunk often is done a lot in Japan and Korea. If you saw it, trust me you wouldn't be surprised. They drink a lot, often and it's even worse in campus peers or work related reunions.

So sadly is not just a webtoon cliche but a sad truth in Japan late hours or early hours you see quite a lot of drunkards just stumbling around or passed out in some streets and people take it as a completely normal stuff.

I know of the drinking culture, I'm not surprised, just disappointed. I mean, is drinking trope the only plot device they think of to use? I have no problem if only it wasn't being overused everytime, it doesn't make the story any interesting. On that note, I think I'll drop this if doesn't pick up the pace next chapter.

It’s a cultural thing. Koreans and japense people don’t see drunk sed as assault because they say “if you’re willing to get wasted, it means you are aware that anything can happen to you” basically “you knew this could happen yet you still kept drinking” that’s why this trope is very used in BL too. There’s no much us foreigns can do about it. We can complain, but we cannot change their entire society especially when they do not care about what us, foreigners, think.
