i wouldve preferred this story without romance but i really expected the magician to be the male lead i dont know why. also, im pretty sure mio has feelings for her based off of the ending but i really loved their dynamic in the early - mid stages when it was more like siblings, and she literally told him he is what she’d want in a brother

i think it would’ve been wonderful without the romance. personally, even after 140 chapters, i still don’t feel any chemistry between her and the men. i think the story should’ve just focused on her losing herself and wanting to go back home

same here!! with mio, it always seemed more sibling-like, with the magician it always seemed like he was just childish because hes never experienced love before, and with the red haired knight it was always one sided. plus it was hard to enjoy any of the romance knowing that her end goal was to leave them behind and go home!

i think the reason it felt so weird was because there were too many. like developing romance between one is already hard enough when her end goal is to leave this world. add in two more men and it’s even harder. i’m sure someone else could have done it in 140 chapters but i just didn’t feel it from this author. i can acknowledge that the author was trying to go for more of a matured romance b/c at the beginning, ash commented how she wanted a fairytale romance with a knight but now that she’s spent her 20s, she realizes it can be achieved. so i can see how the author was trying to portray a romance where it’s not a stereotypical fairy tale but i fear they flew too close to the sun because now it just doesn’t feel as genuine and believable. they probably could’ve achieved this with one male lead but dividing the screentime between three prevented any relationship from seeing solid imo. i mean it was still a good read but nobody can really convince me there was any chemistry. it’s like i blinked and suddenly they were all “in love”

i agree, i really wish it was more like found family trope instead. when she went and kissed klein at the end i was so confused because i was under the assumption the whole time she was completely disinterested in him
