I read the entire think for the third time now and so from what I understand the author wanted to focus more on the what happens after the happy ever after and so the first 3-4 chapters are basically speed running their backstory and how they got to the later point I totally like this as a read because once you get past the backstory you get some great relationship development and insight of the mc that genuinely make me cry every time so I really jopebyou can like tough it out through the first 4 chap as the story gets good after I hope I didn't spoil anything ( ̄∇ ̄")
It is too fast paced. Also the thoughts of the protagonists aren't expressed clearly. How did he have the antidote? How did the emperor knew right away he was a man? Why wasn't he given a name? (I read up to chapter 2)
