Is the chemistry in the room with us? They all have a certain degree of affection and history with her, but she’s mentally friendzoning them to the degree that she seems comically clueless right now. She does not feel anything romantic with any of them. They (especially the prince) continuously try to sidestep her lack of interest and jockey for position and she’s just written as too clueless to notice, which doesn’t match her characterization at all. They overstep boundaries, interfere with her relationships, and rudely insert themselves into her life and she just becomes too dumb to catch on or too much of a doormat to respond at all. It just feels like she’s being dumbed down so these stale dynamics can persist, because if she acted like her normal self, or just a normal person, she would not be putting up with all that stuff without setting boundaries, getting irritated, or rejecting them
I feel like "normal" person in webtoon sense would be quite subjective. And she is not interested in any of them, hence the chemistry for a harem route. If she was interested in one or the other, then the chemistry would be with that one person. And again, idk abt "normal" In ur sense because, to the point im reading, i can understand mc's ideology in alot of her decisions. I think her being "dumb" Mostly boil down to her not being loved by anyone in the actual story so that she doesn't think she is loved by anyone other than her family. Or that she doesn't wanna "see" The interest they have in her becoz she doesn't have special interest in anyone. And this happens alot irl too btw. U don't see what u don't wanna or need to see. U have to take account to the fact that she also doesn't feel that adversely to the idea of her dating one of them. My point is, its not that she doesn't love any of them. She loves them all to a certain point that she doesn't mind them acting in such a way that would be irritating to "normal people". Granted, im not sure if they r romantic or just platonic but theres no reason they can't do a platonic harem either. They just have to agree.
I know ppl think a plot is done for when it goes to harem route, but in stories like this, who do u even support i wonder...
Everyone has chemistry with her, and i mean EVERYONE... Even that granny even tho its family love. If i were her, i would make a big ass house with secret chambers connecting to the royal palace, the church HQ, lwellyn's manor, hide and ceek and then spend time with everyone.,., also on the sidenote, i need to get El pregnant.
