It's because some of the things he crafts are "incomplete" or "copies" that have durations or number uses. Most of the stuff he repeatedly summons due to points while other things he has permanently summoned a portion of. Consider it like he is either unlocking skills for a brief period or unlocking certain levels of a specific skill tree.

Can some explain how his alchemy works? Especially what dictates whether or not the items disappear or not? Like I don’t get why he gets to keep Odin’s eye, but everything else disappears? Also for that dragon elixir, it was about to disappear but he used it before the time limit and now the effects are permanent?
