I agree with this so much, like what about thorfinn’s daddd…?? Does that not come to mind?? I was expecting a flashback or some ghost appearing of askeladd, leif and thors to appear going like “Im proud of u son” OR SOME TYPE OF CHILDHOOD FLASHBACKK
His past he accepted it and decided to change that was the point of when he kept having bad dreams when being a slave
ok but... after recruiting people for the voyage i felt something changed, the back stories of the new characters ended, there were new people without true personalities, and the end was rushed, einar changed, it does not make sense he fighted for the village just because it had arheid name, when after her dead he promised and cherished thorfinn friendship, he did not make any important line after it, he did deserve more, what about canute, thorkell? its hollow somehow, and thorfinn i mean, he had his father in his mind he could've think of him at the end, but it's just a no, i have many questions, and for me the manga ended when hild forgive thorfinn that's the end for me
