Idm if someone says it’s mid, I’d understand that but at most it’s good. Secondly the direction of the story was pretty clear; the mc cat fishing the ml but the ml still like the mc for who they are, not their gender (if you seriously didn’t understand that plot then you must be slow because that’s not that hard to figure out). Lastly, it is a little toxic, sure but not anything so extreme where it seems like the mc is suffering lmao, and you may want to read up on the definition of “romanticising”. Have a good day/night!

first of all, everyone is entitled to what they feel about something and idgaf. but you're out here attacking me for hating this half-assed series. i, of fucking course, understand the fucking plot. but i said the DIRECTION of the story is NOT clear because it doesnt stick to ONE goal. it's neither feet-kicking cute nor jaw-dropping mindblowing. not even mildly questionable. it IS fucking toxic. textbook toxic. the MC never had ANY say in anything about their relationship. MC had always making compromises, being guilt tripped into agreeing that he's always wrong while ML is always right, being drifted from any friendship, being OUTED without his consent, being basically trapped bc ML kept repeating that he'll (financially) support MC and coerce MC to live with him. just because MC is in love, doesnt mean he's happy and free like he's in a healthy relationship. just bc MC isnt crying all the time doesnt mean he isnt scared to literally COMMUNICATE with his partner for even the simplest thing.

the reason why you dont realize how toxic it actually is, is bc, maybe, you're SLOW because it's not hard to figure out either. or, since i'll give you the benefit of doubt, as i said, the direction of the story is not clear. it paints itself as something cute, some wholesome funny story, but the ML is literally textbook abusive, just minus the profanity and the beating. its toxic, but it doesnt paint itself as a crazy psychological toxic yaoi. it portrays itself as this harmless funny fateful yaoi, while the characters, esp the MC, rarely ever showed genuine happiness and security in the relationship. he's always walking on eggshell but the story paints it as just minor miscommunication. it IS textbook romanticizing. or maybe you're the one that needs to look up what romanticizing means? last i check, one of the definition is "make (something) seem better or more appealing than it really is" which.. hm.. sounds familiar.. maybe, like the relationship in this fucking SERIES?
