Her original intention to fake his past is to survive. Between her and his brother, he actually wasn't suppose to wake up. But now that it's not according to the plan, she somehowa has to survive since the brother forced her to take care of him without making it known to any single sould out there that his brother is practically incapacitated. Later in the chapters you will understand why he's very important to his brother
