Then we get flashbacks - it turns out that in the past (probably afer the whole thing we her ex), she used to get drunk and then have very rough sex (to the point that she couldn't feel anything by the end of each session) with multiple people at once (about 5 other girls were shown) just to forget her unpleasant memories. End of flashbacks, she admits that sex is her coping mechanism but she doesn't know how to stop it.

I am reading the spanish translation because they are coming out earlier and it turned out to be exactly what I thought (her coping mechanism is alcohol and sex, that was pretty well stablished since Chapter 1 tbh) but it’s actually SO MUCH WORSE. Like, not “oh kinda unhealthy but she’ll work it out with a gf who loves her now” and more like “urgent need of therapy because putting herself in serious danger since she feels numb”.

Yeah. Imho this chapter serves as an "eye opener" for those who are simping for the ex or downplaying the whole Iseul + ex issue.
It's an explanation to Iseul's behavior and it kinda reminds the readers how vulnerable Iseul actually was at that time - Iseul was just a teen from a strict and abusive family. That bitch left this already hurt teenager absolutely broken.

EXACTLY!!!!!!!!! I had a discussion with a user in one of the comment threads who said I was condoning r*pe (the chapter ppl say is SA and ruined the series for them) because I said the stalker ex was trash and worse than Sori who is for sure a better option… Like, the ex is the whole reason Iseul has an unhealthy view of love. And she’s still parading around with some serious red flags with all the stalking she’s doing years later not letting Iseul live her own life independent of her.
Now we are getting see how emotionally devastated Iseul felt and to what lengths she went to after being betrayed by the person she thought was the only one who understood her unlike her abusive family.
All I can say is… My poor babygirl. I hated seeing that. I am not against if the person is into doing it with multiple partners but seeing her as the only one severely bruised (and already knowing she’s an alcoholic) just really sold the fact that people could do whatever the fuck they wanted because vanilla just wasn’t numbing her to the pain anymore.
