Same dude. SAME~ if there is a reason they explained it very badly. Unless she like KNOWS somehow that them being together causes the freaking doomsday, it’s not logical.
Unless unless~ she’s in reality using that as an excuse because loving a character as a fan and loving a real person are two very different things.
And she’s unconsciously scared of being vulnerable and actually setting herself up for real heartbreak in case he dies like in the OG story.

I just thought it was bc she needed to figure out how to make sure he doesn’t sacrifice himself or figure out a way where she doesn’t haven’t to sacrifice herself for the rift to close? Maybe she doesn’t want to get too close and committed just in case one of them has to die? That’s been like my general guess anyway, or like not have a relationship yet bc she knows they’ll need to focus on upcoming events, idk mostly just been guessing lol
I agree w u. She’d do anything for his happiness so I assume she is also considering sacrificing herself for him and doesn’t want him to get too attached (which he already is imo) and if she gets too attached, it’d make her feel guilty about sacrificing herself knowing that he’s so in love w her. So she wants to focus on solving the current crisis ahead. Tbf I would totally ignore all of that and marry him right away lol but I can see where she is coming from
